Prior to joining the ASRC and the CUNY Graduate Center in Sep. 2023, Qiushi was a postdoctoral research associate at the California Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Yale University in 2019. His research interests include integrated ultrafast and quantum photonics, mid-infrared photonics, and optoelectronics in emerging quantum materials. He has published more than 46 peer-reviewed research papers in leading scientific journals including Nature, Science, Nature Photonics, Nature Materials, Physical Review Letters, Nature Communications, Optica, Nano Letters, etc.

Guanyu Han

Guanyu received obtained his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2023, 2019, and 2016, respectively. His research interests include integrated nonlinear photonics, microwave photonics, and optical computing.   

Ziyao Feng

Ziyao earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the CUHK in 2023 and his B.S. degree from the HUST in 2017. During his PhD study in Prof. Xiankai Sun's group at the CUHK, he studied non-Hermitian physics in integrated photonic systems and bound states in the continuum (BICs). His research interests mainly include integrated ultrafast photonics, and nonlinear optics.

Yu obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Information Engineering from Xiamen University, China, and later earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His primary focus lies at the intersection of photonics and computing.

Wenjun Deng (G2)

Wenjun earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the UESTC, China. During his master's study, he forged a unique combination of mechanical actuators and metasurfaces, leading to the creation of tunable mid-infrared metalens with dynamic wavefront reconfiguration. His current research is centered around next-generation thermal vision technologies leveraging novel physical principles and device architectures.

Meng earned her M.S. degree in Electronic Science and Technology from USTC in 2022 and B.S. degree in Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering from HUST in 2019. She then worked in the lab of Prof. Yikai Su in Shanghai Jiaotong University, studying the hybrid integrated visible lasers on alumina and SiN platforms. Her research focuses on integrated laser sources.

Yu received her Master’s degree in Physical Electronics from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2024 and her Bachelor’s degree in Measurement and Control Technology and Instrumentation from China University of Geosciences (Beijing) in 2021. Her master’s research focused on nonlinear optics, specifically optical parametric oscillators. Her current research interest lies in on-chip integrated photonics..
